Mission Trips!

Hey Y'all!

Our God is so good! And He knows the desires of our hearts!

As most of you know, I went on a mission trip to Seattle, WA in March of 2013. It was a huge part of my life that i will always look back on with fond memories. The trip consisted of painting, picture taking, cleaning, food serving, banner hanging, lots of praying and loving on the people there! I'm so glad I got to share it with all of you who prayed for and financially supported me on that trip! I was truly blessed!

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..." Matthew 28:19

Now I have two new opportunities to go and spread God's word throughout the earth!

Let's start off with Seattle. I am so excited that I'm going back to Seattle, WA in July of this year! I'm definitely convinced that God has called me to go again and serve Him! I did a little reaserch and according to the North American Mission Board (NAMB), there is only one (baptist) church for every 28,653 people in Seattle alone! Our team will be partnering with Essential Church in Bellview, Washington during that week to do more mission fun! Essential Church is a new church plant about 2 years old.

Secondly, we have Guatemala. My heart just goes out to the children of this country. In Febuary, my dad and a friend of his went to three different communities in an area just outside of Guatemala City with Food for the Hungry. They scoped and examined and decided to sponsor children in the poorest (money wise) community of Saquib-Chitepey. When they returned they brought back the children's packets of sponsorship and my family chose a little girl named Virginia. She's five years old and is in preschool/kindergarden! My church, Hope Church of Madison, is taking a group down in late October to meet the children we decided to sponsor and to help in that community!

I can't wait to meet Virginia and her family :)

Watch the video from Guatemala here.

So would you commit to praying for me and the team of people that are going to these places? Prayer for peace in our hearts and traveling saftey? For the people of Seattle that they would open their hearts to recieving the gospel and would listen to what God would say to them? And for the children of Guatemala? Pray that we can be a light in the darkness and strength for the weary.

And I would also like to ask for finacial support if God calls you to do so! Here is how that is going to work:

A friend of mine figured out that if I had 100 people donate each $ amount 1-100 I would have all the money I need to go on both of these trips! So if you would like to be a part of of this just pick a number 1-100 and pledge that amount. You can leave a comment here or e-mail me your pledge (yellek107@yahoo.com).  I'll send instruction to tell you how to get the money to me.

So here is how it works, pick a number that is not filled in and pledge that amount.  Once this is completely filled in I will have all my money!

Friday, January 31

Its been a really long time... :/

And I don't really wanna write about everything... (I am so lazy, I know :P)

So I'm not...

And I'm just gonna jump in to where my life is now and you might get a glimpse of whats happened in the past year :)

But for now, SNOW.

And this is O'Grady. Hazel had a litter of kittens! He's the oldest of 6 and the only boy.

It started snowing on Tuesday (today is friday) and we only got about a half inch, but it shut Georgia down for a few day! People ended up spending the night in their cars on the highways in Atlanta!

Last weekend my sweet friends came over to hangout, go out for coffee and spend the night! We had a good time and I can't wait to do it again!

So there's you just a little glimpse of whats been going on lately, along with babysitting, a full head of dreads (which I took out because it was so itchy!), guitar playing, movie making, store opening, GAPS diet, and having guests for 3 months! Christmas, New Year and all that good stuff too. And MUCH MUCH more!! My GOD IS SO GOOD! Much love to all of my followers! You guys are great :) Until next time~
